Charity Christmas Cards Sale

cards 0 VOX was kindly invited to co-operate with two student organisations in Vietnam, Overseas Vietnamese Student Association and Saigon Hotpot to launch the Charity Christmas Cards project in the UK. The cards were beautifully designed and hand-made in Vietnam and the proceeds from their sales all went to supporting disadvantaged children there.
We were honoured to act as the project co-ordinator for the Vietnamese Societies at other universities. Thanks to their invaluable help and the generous support of those who bought the cards, we managed to raise a significant sum for our noble cause.

Charity Activity

An important activity that has been incorporated into VOX's constitution is charity activities in support of disadvantaged group within Vietnam. In fact, charity activities by Vietnamese students in Oxford had been going on for several years before VOX was formally established.

General introduction

In its early days, charity activities in Oxford took place spontaneously in response to the desperate call of Vietnamese countrymen suffering from severe natural disasters, especially storms and floods. In recent years, the charity activities have been conducted in a more organized way in which VOX proactively decides the theme of its annual charity activity, raises fund and seeks social organizations involved in the chosen field as partners to implement VOX's charity program. The theme in the year 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 was to support Vietnamese disadvantaged children.
